Exciting

Many exciting devlopments have taken place in our class over the past couple of weeks. For starters, we have chosen a name and logo for our Medical Spa: Sano. Sano means "to heal" in Latin and our logo includes three adjectives, refresh, recover, revitalize. We felt that conoted the intentions of our spa accurately. Now that we have a name and a logo, we are developing more marketing for Sano including a brochure, website, and folders to be distributed during presentations.

Speaking of presentations, the new UCF Med School has asked to meet with us to discuss our project and plans for our spa! Several members of our class are presenting to the Med School this Wednesday in Research Park. We are hoping to forge a partnership with the UCF Med School and see our visions of Sano realized. We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Keyvan Ariani return to our classroom this past Thursday to give us pointers on our PowerPoint presentation for the Med School. Dr. Ariani was so helpful in giving us a doctor's perspective on our project. After his visit we reorganized the entire presentation to reflect his useful suggestions. Now I think we are very prepared to present to the Med School. We have one more class this Tuesday where we will finalize the presentation and then its off to Research Park on Wednesday!

We have also completed a final blueprint for Sano. The Concept and Development team has been working hard to design a functional and artistic structure to house the spa and all of the offices, guest rooms, and municipal rooms. The spa will be a horseshoe shape with a garden in the middle of the "U."
